V12 Vanquish

Aston Martin V12 Vanquish is another "grand tourer" from the Aston Martin line, but it is probably more famous as being the official James Bond car in the movie “Die Another Day”. It was first introduced at the International Auto Show at New York in 2001. There are two versions of the car, a two-seat coupe or a two plus two seat coupe. The engine itself shared some controversy as it has some basic elements the same as the 3-liter Duratec 30 V6. However even though some components are the same, the similarities end there.

The engine was designed by the Ford research center in the United States. The acceleration for the two-seat coupe is from 0 – 60 mph in under 4,5 seconds, while the two plus two-seat coupe can achieve 160 km/h in just less than 10 seconds. What is typical for these models is the semi automatic transmission or the 6-speed paddle shift. Due to the advanced electronics the transmission can be programmed so that it functions as an automatic and it can also be adjusted to the winter driving conditions. The paddles used on Aston Martin V12 Vanquish that are fingertip controlled in the combination with the drive - by – wire throttle give this model the ability to change gears in less then 250 milliseconds.

The design and the style of the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish uses thev12 lightweight materials such as extruded aluminum and carbon fibers in combination with other composite materials that give this car all the lightness, strength and stability it needs and the ability to maintain the high standards of Aston Martin company when it comes to efficiency, structural integrity and torso’s rigidity. Aston Martin V12 Vanquish does not only represent the latest and the most innovative in its design and construction, but also the largest investment that Aston Martin has ever put in the advanced technology, making this model a true representative of the high quality and stylish sports car.
