At the Detroit International Car Show, Aston Martin V8 Vantage was first introduced as a concept car and has caused quite a stir. The great unveiling did not come until 2005. and International Car Show in Geneva however, when the Aston Martin V8 Vantage was introduced as the production version. It was introduced as an alternative to the other high quality, premium sports cars that are available on the market. It is no wonder it took so long to unveil the production version of Vantage V8 as it went through the most rigorous testing with 78 test models that had to endure grueling 11 million miles. These tests took the Aston Martin V8 Vantage from the desserts of United Arab Emirates to the cold temperatures in Sweden and test tracks in Nardo, Italy. The designers used aluminum extrusions with the under frame that is glued together with aerospace adhesive which makes Aston Martin V8 Vantage compact in size and lightweight.
The engine has a low emissions aluminum alloy V8, with the power of 380
bhp and the capacity of 4,3 liters. The engine is also mid-mounted and connected to the transmission that is placed at the car's rear, which gives this car the weight distribution of 49% to 51%. The transmission is a manual 6-speed however other alternatives will be available. Aston Martin Vantage V8 is a two seater that boasts all the qualities of the Aston Martin design team, it is sleek with a long bonnet, but also there is a hatchback that offers space no other sports car provides. The designers of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage have put a lot of thought into every detail and the car is proportioned beautifully making it a synonym with the Aston Martin craftsmanship.
